Practical/on field - Deepening student engagement with the Health and Physical Education Curriculum, these units build students’ knowledge, understanding and skills to support them play a modified version of AFL.

The AusBike Instructor training will introduce you to worldwide recognised best bike education Instructor practices. The course is aimed at club and community members, parents and
teachers who want to help build and develop beginner level bike riders (aged 5-12) to improve their bike riding skills.

The Quick Stix program includes a teaching guide that teachers and coaches can follow. It doesn’t matter if you have never played (or even seen) a lacrosse game. The video guide explains the terms and rules of lacrosse, and runs through the different skill levels, techniques and tactic variations.

The teaching guide also helps to adapt the program to students of different ages and different skills levels and keep them engaged.

The Softball Batter Up program resources are designed to be fun, flexible and engaging for children from kindergarten age to Year 6, focusing on fun activities while learning basic throwing, catching and striking skills.

Special Olympics Australia’s Inclusive Sport Academy, contains courses and webinars designed to help coaches, teachers and other community members improve the delivery of sport and physical activity for people with intellectual disability or autism.

Spinneroos Online Teaching Resources

Teachers can access Table Tennis Australia’s Spinneroos Online Teaching Resources through our online coaching platform which includes comprehensive 4-8-week lesson plans, videos, and the latest resources to assist with the program delivery. The lesson plans include detailed activity cards, skill progressions and modifications, game sense tips and reflection questions to support student development. The para component of the program allows teachers to modify activities and skills to suit children with a disability.

The Spinneroos lesson plans have been developed by leading Australian table tennis able bodied and para coaches and all content is aligned to the Australian Curriculum, making Spinneroos an easy program to teach and learn.

Table Tennis Disability Program  

The Smash Down Barriers manual consists of six introductory lessons designed to assist teachers with any level of Para Table Tennis understanding, to deliver fun, safe and inclusive activities.

The Smash Down Barriers program is a sport-for-development program which aims to use table tennis as a tool to improve the lives of people with disabilities by increasing levels of physical activity providing leadership opportunities and promoting social inclusion.

Tennis supports teachers with resources linked to the Australian Curriculum: Health & Physical Education, as well as discounted equipment and access to support for courts and line marking through their Teacher Ambassador Program.

Touch Football Australia (TFA) and its partner states have developed a suite of resources to cater for the varying skill level of students. The resources are not aligned to an age group, but rather to the student’s level of development.

Volleyball Australia recommends a fun, adaptable and relatable delivery mode and has resources available for Spikezone programs that outline current best practice.

The Teacher Resource Pack includes the following items:
