After what has been a difficult few months for schools and sport alike, we are excited to advise that Sporting Schools funding and programs will return to normal delivery in term three.

Based on the latest government COVID-19 health advice and the current operating environment of schools, Sporting Schools will resume funding its full range of program delivery in term three, including face-to-face national sporting organisation (NSO) coach-delivered programs. However local changes to school operating protocols may be disrupted by pandemic outbreaks.

Discretion around choice of program delivery will revert to grant applicants and school decision makers to consider their local circumstances and requirements of their State or Territory Departments of Health and Education.

For schools with restrictions on external visitors and/or students to their premises, funding can be used to book teacher-led sports packages and resources through our partner NSOs or if available, online/remotely delivered NSO coach-delivered packages. Once program delivery costs have been covered, funding can be spent on other supported expenses.
